Hello! I'm Haydn.
I graduated with both a Bachelor's and Master's degree in English Literature from the University of Leeds. Over the past 5 years, I've had the pleasure of tutoring on platforms such as MyTutor. Each session has taught me something new, not just about the subjects I teach, but about the diverse ways each student approaches them.
To me, tutoring is as much about understanding the person as it is about the subject. Building a rapport is essential. It's important to me that my students see our sessions as a safe space where they can be open about their challenges, interests, and goals.

Your Success, My Blueprint: Each lesson is a result of meticulous preparation, ensuring every minute counts. I roughly spent an hour preparing for any given lesson, this varies dependant on what I am teaching, but I like to prepare for any possible questions and be on standby for any difficulties a student may encounter with the content. Your goal is my goal.

We only take tutor applications from candidates who are studying at the UK’s leading universities. Candidates who fulfil our grade criteria then pass to the interview stage, where a member of the MyTutor team will personally assess them for subject knowledge, communication skills and general tutoring approach. About 1 in 8 becomes a tutor on our site.
