We updated you all recently to let you know we’re official NTP partners, meaning more school slots for all 🙌
We were hoping these would come in hot off the heels of our announcement, but as you can imagine schools are pretty stretched at the moment. This means things have operationally taken a little longer than expected to get set up – but rest assured, the end goal is a smoother tutoring experience for everyone involved!
Next week is when we really expect to see an influx of sessions (and the next few months are looking punchy, too).
We understand how frustrating it is that it’s taken a little more time than expected – and nobody likes a shifted goalpost – but we’re really close now and want to thank you all for your continued patience.
Why schools tuition is so rewarding 🧡
We know sometimes there can be challenges in the schools programme. Many of the kids involved are only able to afford tuition thanks to government grants, making your hard work even more impactful. Just this week we received feedback from one of our schools, telling us one pupil is now having private tuition thanks to the programme, and one “loves his tutor and really wants to know what football team he supports”! ⚽ You can read more about how much your tutoring benefits schools in our 2020 impact report.
And what’s the deal with 3:1? 👨👨👦👦
A lot of you had questions about this when we last mentioned 3:1 lessons (of which there’ll be plenty for the NTP)! Pupils will be grouped by ability and goals, you’ll tutor in our new and improved lesson space and you’ll get paid £20 per session. You can learn even more about it in the group tuition training.
A final thank you 🌼
The government has never funded tuition on this scale before, making it a very exciting, but very uncharted process. We want to thank you again for being understanding of some of the hiccups along the way, and for everything you’ve contributed to our journey!
The small print 📝
In order for us to assess how successful our work with the National Tutoring Programme is, we’ll need to use the data of the tutors involved. You can find out all the info you need about that here. If you want to opt-out, you can do that by filling in this form.
As always, if you have any questions or feedback, we’d love to hear from you. You can reach us on support@mytutor.co.uk or 0203 773 6024.
