Hey tutors! After uni strikes and windy weather, February is officially wrapping up. From curriculum updates to cash prizes here’s what we’ve been up to this month at MyTutor…
Last chance to win £1000 ⏲️
Time’s running out to take part in our referral competition! All you have to do is get your friends to sign up as a tutor with us using the unique link on your profile.
Here’s a reminder of what you can win for making the most referrals by Saturday:
• 1st place – £1000
• 2nd place – £750
• 3rd place – £500
And even if you aren’t in the top 3, you can still get £25 for referring 5 people or more! Plus, our normal referral scheme is still in place so you can get another £10 for any friend that gets approved onto the site. (T&C’s apply – read them and find out more here)
Changes to GCSE and A level Exams 🏫
This month, Ofqual (the exams regulator) has changed how most GCSE and A Level exams in England are going to run this summer, to offer extra support to students who’ve had their learning disrupted thanks to the pandemic. Check out our blog post to see all the main updates you need to know.
What’s changed for you 💻
Tired of wondering when you’ll next be paid? Well, tire no more! We’ve updated your Income page so you’ll always know when payday is coming with our new countdown feature.
We’ve also introduced a ‘rotate’ feature on your profile when uploading a picture, so you no longer have to reach out to our support team to do it for you.
An important reminder 📝
As you’ll know from our T&Cs, all tutorials across the schools and the private side of MyTutor are recorded. This is for safeguarding reasons, and it also means students can look back at lessons and revise. Please remember that recordings start from the moment you enter a tutorial until the moment you leave, so be sure to stay professional as soon as you launch the lesson space – even if your student hasn’t arrived yet!
Follow us on socials 📱
We want to hear from you! On Facebook, we have a forum designed for our tutors to share ideas and chat with one another about tutoring (or non-tutoring) topics – you can also reach out to your Tutor Reps there by using the #tutoreps hashtag. For tutoring tips, uni inspo, competitions, and other content just for you – head over to our Instagram and TikTok pages.
See you next month!
As always, if you have any questions or feedback, we’d love to hear from you. You can reach us on tutors@mytutor.co.uk or 0203 773 6024.
