Throughout the past decade, Calvin Mitchell has become a highly respected and sought after builder of quality homes in the North Lake Tahoe Area.

Calvin was born in Juneau, Alaska and spent his youth ski racing on the national circuit. After winning the Junior Olympics in 1985, he looked for ways to continue his ski career. From 1991 to 1997, he competed in the World Extreme Ski Championships in Valdez, Alaska and worked as a heliski guide in Southeast Alaska. In the summer of 1997, he searched the US for a place to settle, ski, and pursue a career. He fell in love with Lake Tahoe and moved here that summer. Supporting himself as a carpenter, Calvin continued to ski at Squaw Valley, USA and competed in the XGames Men's Skiercross in 2003 and 2005. He continues to ski at Squaw Valley and has prioritized instilling a love of the mountains and skiing in his children, Scout and Brody. He also supports others in the pursuit of outdoor activities by volunteering his time to serve on the Tahoe Nordic Search and Rescue (TNSAR) team. He is active on both the snowmobile and ski search teams.

Calvin Mitchell spent seven years working in the construction industry in Juneau, Alaska. Here he learned the fundamental skills of the building trades as well as unique building techniques related to extreme weather conditions. In 1997, upon moving to Lake Tahoe, Calvin was hired by Rick Winter as a carpenter and quickly learned details of the trade from an experienced and respected builder of fine homes in North Lake Tahoe. In 2006, he earned his California Contractor's License and started managing his own projects. From remodels to new construction, Calvin brings a small scale, personalized approach to large scale projects. He has built a reputation based on quality, community, and customer service.
