Hi, my name is Sakina. I am a second year uni student studying Psychology with Education. I am studying this course because I understand the importance of education and the opportunities it brings, therefore, I understand wanting to better your future opportunities by having a tutor. I myself had a biology tutor during my A Levels and she was a lifesaver! I understand how helpful she were in each session, how she made me feel more confident in the subject. I would love to be able to do the same for you!

I would help you with anything and everything; whether that be with learning or revising content, understanding key processes or simply being able to better answer exam questions. I will do so by tailoring each and every lesson to your needs and making sure that you feel each task and activity we carry out together is useful.

In our free meetings, I will ask what you want the most help on (learning/revising content or answering exam questions), I will also ask what your goals are for these sessions (e.g. earning a grade A in their A levels). This ensures we focus on relevant content/work.

I like to have a few sessions with my students to gauge where they require the most help and use different teaching tools/strategies throughout our sessions to determine which make the biggest impact for future reference. I emphasise the importance of my students telling me what they would like to do, whether that be learning or revising content or answering exam questions, in hopes that they know what we are covering is useful for them.

I like to give homework (as long as the student agrees to complete it), which is usually exam practice, allowing me to see their improvement throughout our sessions but also gives indications to where they may need more help or guidance.

Every student is different and I like to take the time to determine what best helps you learn and perform at your best!
